Here's the main hall in the Mount Hotel. I played here Friday night. I've done lots of bookings here and I'm there again this Saturday. It's one of the nicest rooms in Wolverhampton. What a lovely work environment!
Lucky me. Back in around 1990, I was short of work and did about three very smelly weeks working in a sewage farm. Who'd have thought that punky oink would be playing for posh people here?
And here's a couple from last night, in my local. The longhaired piper is Spanish, and quite a character. He had swillers dancing with his bagpipe solos. It was a great night of songs and beerio.--
And finally, look at this for a lineup. Jerry Lee, Chuck, Buddy, Frankie Lymon, Danny & The Juniors and a shitload of greats celebrating the big beat back in 1958. Alan Freed your MC for the evening. Bliss upon bliss! I love these old posters.
