Eclipse 2006.

This is perhaps the worst video clip of the 2006 eclipse I've ever seen, astronomically speaking, yet it captures the event wonderfully. I was on the same stretch of beach, east of Antalya, Turkey.
It was amazing!

I'm not getting any video on my computer at the moment so I can't view the eclipse.

But I tell you what, it's the second time it's happened now. I've been dying for a beer, have none in the house, no liqour stores are open in my small outer suburb, and I've gazed at that delicious pint you're drinking in that photo you have here on your blog.

You look damn content with everything with that half drunk pint sitting there in front of you and I'm dying of thirst here!

Geez I can taste the bastard right now.

That photo was taken last year, about a mile from the great stone circle of Avebury. One of the best days ever, and I can't look at that photo without wishing I was there on that sunny afternoon with that pint of beer. I'd just bought a digeridoo! I'll try and find a photo . .

On the clip you get to see the wierd 'sunset' on the horizon, that strange orange glow. . I remember that so well.
Most eclipse films are just of the sun/moon. Here you can hear the crowd and see the changes in the whole sky.
I've been pricing up the 2008 eclipse today, and that's made *me* want to cry!;-))
I remember texting you from that beach.
