In fact, if you know where to look, you can easily see Venus in the daytime. I have, quite a few times. It's the third brightest thing in the our sky.

My new job went well. I was encouraged by the comments and feel amazingly content. Is this how it's to be for me now? Playing music for a living and never again being told what to do or putting up with shit and bollox?
What a gift; to be looking at the morning dawn without a dead weight of dread and despondency for the rest of the day in my belly.
They asked me if I wanted to play piano for the remembrance day charity ceremony. Of course, I Will. There'll probably be some religious mumbo-jumbo to put up with, seems in this country any act of remembrance has to have a god angle, but I can put up with all that. I used to think remembrance day was all about everything I hated. A celebration of pomp and military stuff and god's mercy and blah blah. But it's not, is it? It's about remembering what happened. I'll probably bang on about this on Sunday. In the meantime, here's my coffee last year in Belgium, and yonder is the Menin Gate. To see the last post ceremony there is quite something. It's here where the British troups would start their march, off to meet their fate in Flander's Fields.
