"On the dark desert highway"

It's late and I'm tired, but I like the early hours. The badger's been coming nightly. Foxes too, so what with the squirrels it's like Wind In The Willows round these parts. I'm listening to Ladytron, have you heard them? Look on youtube for Ladytron and Destroy Everything You Touch and you'll find a top tune that's teen-terrific for dancing!
Had a busy day teaching music to young people and some not so young. Played Nick Drake as I was driving for the first time in ages and it's as good as I remember.

Someone died in Chapel Ash a couple of weeks back, it was a Wednesday night. He was in the Alex, and went for a 'fag run' to the shops across the road, (it's cheaper to get them from the shop than the vending machine in the Alex). Someone was speeding, ran a red light and now the poor bastard's dead. I was in the Combomere when it happened, across the road. Police closed off the high street, I took this snap.

I didn't know him.

Can you see my friend Norman playing guitar in the Combo back room Saturday night? The older guy you can see with the beard is called 'Speed' because he walks dead slow. I quite like this picture, it sums up Chapel Ash Saturday nights quite well.
