Saw a lizard today up the Shropshire Hills. Took a photo of it, see? I got all excited because I thought I'd discovered the only lizard in England 'till I came home and googled lizards and found out they are widespread in the UK.
Then I felt stupid. I thought they just lived in zoos in this country.
But honestly, I can't remember the last time I saw a lizard.
Saw a snake once, in Cornwall, at Goonhilly, which is on the peninsular of land called 'The Lizard', thinking about it . .
Jeez I'm thick.
