People that say their hobbies are their occupations. STOP IT!
Look on YourSpace or wherever, look under occupation and see all the musicians, artists, writers, photographers. . why do you never see plasterers, spot welders and cleaners on there?
I think anyone that plays the guitar at Auntie Doris' party and gets a tenner is a professional musician these days. Just like anyone that's had a piece printed in a fanzine for Dr Who is a journalist.
