I got chatted up by another bloke. Again! What is it with me? This time it was in a bar in Vienna two weeks ago.
I thought he was just being friendly till he started stroking my arm and telling me I had lovely pale skin. I had to tell him that I just wanted to sit and drink my beer and read Dracula, thanks all the same.
I played piano yesterday at the country club, and quite a few people said nice things, but then some woman came and asked for The Lady In Red. Can you believe it? I swear that dismal song is following me around.
I smiled politely and said "I'm sorry, I don't play that one".
Cowbag!
Lady In Bastard Red.
I've read Border Music by Robert James Waller and I like his books, which are not girly in any way, oh no. They are just romantic, that's all.
I should be practicing scales but I'm tatting about on here. I'm being naughty. I've got thejazz on the digital radio and a spot of sunlight is keeping me warm and I'll have some Douwe Egberts coffee I think. How's that sound?

In regard to the 'being chatted up again by a gay guy' bit.
One of the positive things about gay guys making moves on us 'straights is that it really shows us what women have to endure virtually every time they go out.
That is, every time they're in a bar or club, there is someone in there who wants to have sex with them, and inevitably that someone makes his move sooner or later.
And most of the time it seems to be an unwanted advance.

Good point. We underestimate how much it happens to women. I've got girl friends who tell me it's almost impossible to go out for the night without being pawed by some lunkheaded beer-monster.
There's something else too - I think a lot of men would find it an insult to be chatted up by a man. I'm not fussed either way, but since that was the second time this year, I think I'm giving off some serious gay vibe. I knew I shouldn't have bought that leather 'man-bag'.
