Put an egg in hot water and bring to the boil. Boil for two minutes then turn heat off and leave to stand for half a minute. Your egg will have a mostly firm white, but runny yolk. And a bit of runny white too, which I don't mind, but I know some like a complete set white. I'll do the next one boiled for two and a half, using the same method. (Dropping an egg into boiling water often cracks the eggs, even though I don't keep them in the fridge).
