Jazz


Shakespeare lived only about thirty miles from me.
But it all says nothing to me about my life . . so that's me dead common and rubbish and liking Elvis books too much.

Not likeing Shakespeare's books makes sense. They are after all plays and are meant to be acted out before a beer drinking audience who was encourged to participate. Thats why there is a Scotsman in the Merchant of Venice (they always like to boo). Why have the doormen in Macbeth? A totally useless scene, apart from giving the comic actors in his troop something to do and a bit of a laugh always goes down well...

It was more like pantomine than the Royal Shakespear Theatre.
