Almost eight out of 10 secondary school pupils aim to go to university, a survey suggests.
Research for the Sutton Trust found 77% of students aged from 11 to 16 thought it likely they would go on to higher education, up from 72% in 2008.
According to BBC news.
Makes me wonder if leaving school to get a job is going to be a thing of the past. There's sixth form, gap years, all that stuff. I wonder what the average age is in the UK for someone doing a full days work for the first time? Eighteen? twenty?

I've got a tent! Let you know how I get on. I put it up yesterday and it's lovely!

Very busy lately, with playing and teaching and stuff. Not being a watcher of TV I've missed all the Jacko sillyness. I don't know if it reached Dianic proportions in this country, but it might have come close. People love a bit of public grieving. Now I hear they're thinking of having a big 'tribute' concert in London. Perhaps Bowie will do the Lord's prayer again?
Pah!
